Thanksgiving is coming up and everyone is beginning to make lists of what they are thankful for this year. As a pregnant woman, you may feel as though you don’t have time for that in the midst of getting ready for the new addition to your family. However, gratitude is especially important during major life events and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to get in touch with what you’re grateful for. If you’re having a hard time thinking of anything, consider these:

  1. The new life growing inside of you
  2. Support from family and friends
  3. The ability to have a child
  4. Your baby’s movements
  5. Having a reason to eat (a little) more
  6. All the extra attention
  7. Baby showers
  8. Your medical team
  9. Readily available information (via books, doctors, and the internet)

Even though pregnancy is something to be grateful for in and of itself, it can be difficult to slow down and really appreciate it. Take advantage of the season to remember what a beautiful time of your life this is.
