Valentine’s Day Gifts You Hadn’t Thought To Ask For

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and your partner is probably trying to figure out what to get you. Why not help them out? Mani/pedis and prenatal massages are probably at the top of your list but there are two things you probably would have never thought to ask for: books and pregnancy subscription boxes.

The first one may sound silly; you’ve probably got a ton of pregnancy books already. However, most of them, while informative, are pretty boring. Not all of pregnancy books are that way though. Ask your valentine for books that will give you a laugh such as Hatched!: The Big Push from Pregnancy to Motherhood by Sloan Tanen. If you’d rather do the writing yourself, ask for a pregnancy journal like Expecting You: A Keepsake Pregnancy Journal by Amelia Riedler. The great thing about a pregnancy journal is that with each passing year, it will become more valuable.

The fact that books are fairly inexpensive means that you can feel a little better for asking for something else, and a gift box from a pregnancy subscription box service is the perfect compliment. Subscription box services have become popular lately and you can find one for almost any person or situation you can think of. Many pregnancy subscription box services like Ecocentric Mom and Mama Bird Box offer a one-month gift box option, so your partner doesn’t have to pay for a subscription that auto-renews.

The cool thing about these two gift ideas is that they’re something different from the norm and can be enjoyed more than once. So while a spa day certainly shouldn’t be out of the question, throw these on your wish list as well.
