Making friends that you can connect with, and confide in, is not the simplest task; especially at a time when you might need them more than ever. However, it can be easy if you know how to go about it. Here are some ways you can meet other like-minded expectant parents:

Take a Prenatal Class:
A great way to meet other expecting parents is to take a prenatal class. Not only can these classes give you important information about pregnancy, but the class will be full of other expecting parents, that, in one way or another, are in the same situation that you are. Remember, you’re not the only one looking to make a friend or two.
Talking to Strangers:
While this sounds bizarre in and of itself, one of the best ways to meet people is out in the world. Often times, we find the best friends when we aren’t even looking for them. Try making an effort in public to be social. Be friendly with strangers, and try striking up conversations about your future newborn. You just might find someone you’ll click with.
Social Media:
There are many sites available today that are focused on connecting people with similar interests or situations. Online forums or social media sites can aid significantly in finding people who you can talk with and relate to.
Reconnect With Old Friends:
You might simply be staying too long within your regular, familiar social circle. However, try reconnecting with some old friends that you haven’t talked to in a while. It’s possible that they may be in a similar situation themselves! Not only do you know that you already have common interests with these people, but they’ll be happy to reconnect with you and catch up. The friendship might be as strong as ever!

These are just some of the ways you can meet other expectant parents. You’re not alone; and, many other people are finding themselves in your same boat. Try some of these suggestions, and you might find it’s easier to make friends than you’d originally thought.
